Drogheda has been honoured to host the 2019 Fleadh Cheoil. The town surpassed all expectations in 2018, hosting a hugely successful Fleadh. Once again Drogheda will display herself in all her beauty and showcase the very best of our local talents.
The Lourdes Brass Band will once again take on the Mammoth task of entertaining the huge numbers of tourist and competitors at the 2019 Fleadh.
We are looking forward to seeing all the friends we have made last year. So come along and dust off the old dancing shoes once more. We extend our biggest “Fáilte cheoil go Droichead Átha. Cuir fáilte romhat le do thoil.”
The Lourdes Senior Band will perform:
St. Petere’s Church 11am Fleadh Mass on Sunday 18th Aug. This mass will be broadcast live.
“Gig-Rig” in Bolton Square on Sunday 18th Aug.starting at 3.30pm. A lively high tempo performance of some of the favorite traditional tunes.
Our Newest beginner classes can also be seen performing on the town. These performances will feature our newest recruits, who can definitely hold a tune and entertain, even though they are in the Lourdes Band less than one year.
